Concerto Grosso
02/12/07 05:30 PM
As some of you know, I work at the Community Music
School of Springfield, MA as a Music Therapist. Next
month is the annual Concerto Grosso fundraising event
at Barnes and Noble in Holyoke.
The way it works is that each student has to raise at
least $40 in order to perform. My students have
special needs, and while one of them will probably
have no problem getting the money together for her
performance, the other may not. (Some of you know of
her, she's the one with Autism and perfect pitch, who
makes me change keys on the fly) If anyone has $5 or
$10 to donate, it would be really cool. (But PLEASE
don't donate if you don't have it to spare! I know
some of you will want to, but you need it more than
the school!) The donation goes to scholarships at the
music school for kids who don't have funding for
lessons or music therapy sessions. I just really want
them to have a chance to perform, because they both
love it so much.

Also, if anyone wants to come and see my girls in
action, you can come to the event.

And, for all money spent at Barnes
and Noble that day a percent will be donated to
the school.
